Kalie needs at risk placement for medical reasons. She is having difficulty walking in shelter due to severe right hip dysplasia and arthritis in her right knee. She needs an orthopedic consultation regarding a hip replacement.
Kalie arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. Her previous owner describes her as social and affectionate. During intake Kalie was observed to lunge at strangers that we were passing by. While in care, Kalie has been observed to be fearful. Noted to hard stare at handers with pinned back ears. She is also noted to dodge the leash when handlers are attempting to leash her. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only home.
