🩺 MEDICAL NOTES:
Beaux arrived with wounds on his ears, head and right rear leg and tested HIGH POSITIVE for heartworms. He was prescribed Rimadyl/Carprofen 75 mg once daily for 14 days for his wounds/pain.
Beaux was darted in the right shoulder/side during his intake. He received DA2PP-V, Bordetella, Rabies, dewormer, Pyrantel and Advantage Multi.

BEHAVIOR NOTES:
Beaux is frightened and overwhelmed in the shelter. He is hesitant to walk and has sometimes frozen, pulled back, thrashed or chewed at the leash when his fear became too much.
But there are glimpses of a dog who wants to trust. When one staff member baby-talked to him and offered treats, Beaux slowly stood up and followed them. Rather than push him beyond his limits, staff have tried moving him only short distances and giving him space to reduce his stress.
