Leelo was found lying outside a house with a large open leg wound and not getting up. No one answered at the residence, and the caller later expressed concern that he wasn't receiving needed medical attention.

🩺 MEDICAL NOTES:
Leelo came to BARC with a severe injury to his right hind leg and was unable to bear weight on it.
His injuries include a large 5'6 inch by 3'4 inch open gash below the knee and another quarter-sized wound on his thigh. He also has multiple older wounds/scabs on his head, near his left ear and shoulder. Veterinarians noted these injuries could be from animal bites or other trauma.
Treatment plan:
' Carprofen 100 mg once daily x10 days
' Clavamox 375 mg twice daily x14 days
' Sedation to clip and clean the wound
' Daily wet-to-dry bandage changes
' BARC specifically requested a plea for long-term care
Leelo is also LOW HEARTWORM POSITIVE.
He has received DA2PP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccines, deworming and Advantage Multi.

No formal behavior evaluation was included in Leelo's record.
Despite the extent of his injuries, veterinary staff documented Leelo as BAR ' bright, alert and responsive.
