🩺 Medical Notes:

* Heartworm NEGATIVE.
* Developed a bleeding tail-tip injury on October 11, diagnosed as happy tail. Prescribed carprofen for 10 days.
* On October 19, developed sneezing, a honking cough, and green nasal discharge, consistent with suspected CIRD (upper respiratory infection).
* Started doxycycline 250 mg daily for 10 days.
* Received routine vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention.

Behavior Notes:

Dennie is a friendly, enthusiastic, attention-seeking boy who greets people with a wiggly body, fast-wagging tail, soft eyes, and a big open-mouthed smile.

Staff describe him as welcoming toward visitors and volunteers. He's even offered a playful bow to neighboring dogs!

Unfortunately, Dennie is sometimes having a difficult time coping with the kennel environment. He barks, paces, jumps, and pulls strongly on leash, especially when excited to get outside or when people pass without stopping.

He responds at times to treats, enrichment, and attention, and has walked more calmly when following a treat trail. Staff have also used kennel covers to help reduce his stress.
