🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES:
Aurora is a high-energy, sensitive girl who appears overwhelmed by the shelter environment.
Initially timid and easily startled, she has shown nervousness around leashing and handling. She can pull strongly on walks and has barked and lunged when other dogs pass her kennel. Staff have sometimes been able to redirect her excitement with treats.
But Aurora has also shown a calmer side! On October 14, she remained quiet and relaxed in her kennel even while a neighboring dog barked continuously. Staff have also observed her quietly watching and sniffing passing dogs.
She greets handlers with a wiggly body and wagging tail, enjoys exploring the outdoor runs, and has plenty of youthful energy.
