Success Story: It took about a minute for Zani's Furry Friends to find a home for Bernadette, and it looks like she hit the jackpot. It turns out that our sweet girl is deaf, but that did not deter her new family. Here's an update from her mom: Bernadette is now Saoirse?.pronounced "Seer-Sha". It?s Old Irish (Gaelic) language meaning Freedom/Liberty. She is completely deaf but very smart and such a sweet goofy girl. She is quickly learning hand signals and decompressing nicely? Saoirse thanks all the wonderful staff and volunteers for their care and love while she waited for us to come find her.
