About autumn: A5179610 Autumn is a gorgeous, diamond-in-the-rough 2-year-old, brown-and-white spayed female Pit Bull mix who was brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on May 17th after being found as a stray in El Monte. Weighing 57 lbs, Autumn needs a special, experienced adopter to give her the safety and stability she needs to come out of her shell. Autumn has been in the shelter for months and, understandably, is intimidated by the chaotic environment. She doesn't seem to know what is expected of her on leash, and is possibly a bank slate for training. Autumn may not have had meaningful connections with people and is wary of them. Because of her fear, she can only be adopted to an adult-only home and if other animals are present, they must be calm/low energy. Autumn needs an experienced handler who is willing to take the time to slowly build trust with her and put in the necessary effort to socialize and train her properly. Autumn is a sensitive, sweet and gentle dog and we are confident that given a chance and genuine kindness she will bloom into an amazing canine citizen.
