About dorian: A5184071 Dorian is a friendly 2-year-old grey male Pit Bull mix who was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on May 30th. Weighing approximately 60 lbs, Dorian is attentive and eager to be pet and be near his human. In the noisy shelter environment, he has struggled with being leashed: when you leash him, he just lies flat--or "pancakes"--in fear. Dorian feels much more secure in the company of other dogs, and if you walk him on leash with another dog, he does very well. We think once out of the shelter and given appropriate guidance and support (including basic obedience training), Dorian will really flourish. He is a happy, fun, sporty boy who is meant to be someone's cherished sidekick. He loves treats and the positive reinforcement of praise and affection, so we expect he will learn very quickly and be an ideal walking companion in no time. Dorian will be a fantastic best friend to an active person or family with older kids and previous experience with larger-breed dogs. For more information on this pet, contact volunteer UHA adoption coordinator Katja at 951-973-2757 or katja@hope4animals.org.
