Tiva - 2yr old female brindle Pit Bull, 68 lbs. Intake Date: 11/19/19 as a stray. Tiva is very sweet with people. She requires proper socialization and training. . Shelter assessment 12/1/19: Tiva greeted the runner with soft eyes, a neutral body and tail wag. She dodged the leash a few times, then attempted to run out (door dash). Once on leash she strongly pulled. When she was introduced to the other dogs at the fence she began to grunt, her body was a little tense and she turned around to ignore them. The yard was thinned out and Tina and Aeyo stood in the yard. Tiva entered and ignored the dogs. She roamed around for a few minutes. When Aeyo was facing the opposite direction, she slowly began walking towards him then began chasing him and growling. The handler used the shake can to defuse the situation but the loud noise made her chase him even more. The handler was able to grab her leash and remove her from the yard. When the runner was placing her back in the kennel she bit his hand attempting to bite the leash. The bite did not break skin but did have some pressure to it. Due to aggression towards other animals Tiva will be rescue Only. .
