About mocha: MOCHA - ID#A575058 My name is Mocha and I am an unaltered female, black and brown German Shepherd Dog. Shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 2 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jan 09, 2025. In playgroup, she is considered a "Playgirl", she is exuberant and a great greeter in the yard. She barks at fence when she doesn't get to meet a dog that she want to engage with. Nice greeting for the most part, a little bit pushy with dogs who are showing unstable energy , exuberant or timid. But other wise, very easy Peezy. Rough and rowdy, push pul play with lot of jumping using her front paws. Mocha is now on the euth list for showing signs of kennel decline. She's in a kennel, what do we really expect? It's notated that she was whining in her kennel, pacing and jumping up against the kennel walls and panting heavily. This stress is also notated in zoo and circus animals when they are locked in tiny cages for ridiculous amounts of time without enough enrichment and exercise. This was 7 days after her play yard fun, she clearly just wants to get out and play. These reasons are absolutely ridiculous to euthanize these beautiful sweet dogs that just need time and love.
