The runner knelt at the kennel gate and began to verbally coax her, but she did not approach. She was easy to loop leash inside the kennel as she remained at the back. She walked to the play yard behind the runner and required verbal coaxing along the way. She entered the catch pen with concemed eyes and a low tail. She exchanged timid greetings with the other dogs through the play yard fence. She was easily collared by the runner and submissively laid down. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a male husky and remained tolerant of him sniffing her, but she did not retum the greeting. She was then approached by a male cattle dog and displayed the same behavior. She began to roam the yard calmly and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. After a short time, she appeared to relax more and began to exchange some soft greetings. She remained calm and social for the rest of her time in the yard. She would approach the handlers and seek affection. Jenny is social with the other dogs but displayed no play style at this time.
