As the gate was opened, she retreated to the rear while avoiding eye contact. The runner stepped into the kennel while presenting the leash. Dixie lowered her head, tolerating it being placed on her. She walked warily with a low body while near the kennels but once clear of them, she pulled moderately on leash, straight ahead. She was timid with a low body and ears back as she sniffed several dogs through the play yard fence. She relaxed with the runner, having a low tail wag and soft eyes as the collar was clasped around her neck. She entered the play yard and spent the first few minutes calmly roaming by herself as she acclimatedto the yard. She had a low tail wag as she exchanged good greetings with a female and male pit bull. She then spent several minutes calmly roaming the yard with them. She solicited affection from the handlers on several occasions with a loose body and open mouth pant. A male pit bull enticed her to play and she took off briefly zooming around the yard with him chasing behind. She repeated this with him twice but did not fully play with him.
