A4971277 Princess is a sweet and vulnerable 9-year-old tan-and-white female Chihuahua mix whose owners surrendered her to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 11th because they felt they could no longer be responsible for her. Weighing 11 lbs, this darling middle-aged girl is currently recuperating from a serious upper respiratory illness, which was diagnosed by the shelter vet and has been being treated with medication. She also has a small tumor (which we have no medical information about); that issue, her state of recuperation, and her unease in the shelter all seemed to combine to make her eager to be held rather than be on the ground and walking. Princess has three other kennel mates and gets along fine with them. We think this dolly will blossom and get some spunk back once she?s someone?s indoor pet and sweetheart in a household where she feels safe, is taken care of, and has solid human companionship.
