A5055918 Hanson is a dreamboat of a 5-year-old black-and-tan male German Shepherd whose former owner left him at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on May 1 for no stated reason. Weighing 80 lbs, Hanson is about as perfect as a dog can be, and we can't imagine how anyone could give him up. He walks so politely on leash and is deeply affectionate, making new friends wherever he goes. He is attentive to his handler, and we think he would be an excellent candidate to learn advanced obedience skills if you want your dog to have those skills. He has an adorably expressive face with one slightly wonky ear for comic relief. Hanson's beautiful coat is in need of some TLC--a nice bath, regular brushing, and quality nutrition--but he otherwise appears to be in good shape. Hanson will be an outstanding indoor companion in a loving home, and would be an ideal choice for anyone seeking a calm, large dog, including families new to larger dogs.
