SOS‼️ RESCUE NEEDED BY THURSDAY 06/26‼️
We are seeking rescue for Rock #A598779; Rock is listed as 13-month-old male Siberian Husky (Kelpie) mix, he was brought in by a citizen on 5/9/25 weighing 56.2lbs.
Rock is just a young boy, not even completely through his puppy phases. He is highly energetic, playful, and fun. Rock loves lounging in the pool, eating some snacks and the rushing off to see what this big world has to offer. I can only imagine how much more comfortable he would be in a home environment versus this stressful shelter!
Rock participated in playgroups and did very well: Confident male, social, coexisted nicely, barked at dogs outside the playgroup but did better once they were in the yard.
Rock does appear to have a little barrier reactivity and does best when those barriers are removed as was noted in his playgroup notes above. The shelter is stressful and the noise coming from dogs in other kennels can be overwhelming and that is what Rock has experienced here at the shelter. Unfortunately, that did get the best of this young boy and while returning to his kennel he was engaging in some intense conversations with surrounding dogs and when staff tried to pull him away he did redirect, leaving one puncture wound to the thigh of the staff member. Rock was moved into quarantine which has now been abated. Due to the bite incident Rock is rescue only and in need of help!
We have seen zero signs of aggression, just a playful young boy that will benefit from some training and consistency. Rock already knows sit, he is smart and eager to please so the rest of his training should be both fun and rewarding!
Rock is urgent, he will need rescue tag by 4:30pm on Thursday 6/26/25.
If you can help us help him, please reach out.
