\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on suroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He walked to the play yard with a hard pull on the leash. He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by two dogs at the same time. He was tolerant of them both sniffing him, but he had concemed eyes. He then began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him He was approached by a female Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with her. He then climbed into the pool and enjoyed playing in there. He was approached by a male Labrador that playfully put paws on his back and tned to entice play. He growed and gave an air snap correction to this. He would approach the handlers often and jump up seeking affection. He displayed no negative behavior with the handlers in the yard or with the runner. He appeared far less confident and less social around dogs than during his first assessment. He would do best with a calm dog that will respect his space and boundaries, to allow him to regain confidence. See handling assessment for further stipulation.

He was given a moment to acclimate to his surroundings. The handler knelt and called to him.
He approached the handler with soft eyes and neutral tail wag. He beganto lean against the handler and seek affection. He allowed the handler to pet his head with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his teeth with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch and lift all his paws with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch his tail with no reaction. He displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler during the handling. He was retumed to his kennel without issue.
