Eval Comments: The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences. She walked to the play yard with no pull on the leash, but she would walk between the runner's legs and get under their feet. She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a male Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She offered him a play bow and they engaged in gentle dainty play. She then began to playfully bound around the yard and continued to exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. She remained social with the other dogs for the rest of her time in the yard. She would approach the handlers often and seek affection. Lola is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle/dainty play style.
