Eval Comments: \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She walked to the play yard with no pull on the leash. She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a female husky and exchanged a soft greeting with her. She was then approached by a male shepherd and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She began to calmly roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to roam the yard and exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. She remained calm and social for the rest of her time in the yard, but she appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. There were dogs playing during her time in the yard, but she did not engage or entice any play. She would approach the handlers often and seek affection. She is social with the other dogs, but she displayed no play style at this time
and would ikely do best with a calmer dog
