Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
He appeared to not be leash trained, so a roll cart was attempted to be used to transport him to the play yard. Once on the roll cart, he quickly jumped off again. When a handler attempted to place him back onto the cart, he whipped around and tried to bite. A second handler was assisting, and they attempted to suitcase assist the dogto the play yard. The dog got part way, but he began to whip around and tred to bite both the handlers. It was decided to retum the dog to its kennel at this point for safety. When back inside the kennel, the dog snapped again and tred to bite the one of handler's legs. Due to his defensive behavior, handling sensitivity, and lack of socialization, he will be designated as rescue only.
