He required a go-slow approach being collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by a female Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with her. He was then approached by a male Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with him. He began to calmly roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He continued to roam the yard and exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. He remained calm and social for the rest of his time in the yard, but he appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. There were dogs playing during his time in the yard, but he did not engage or entice any play. With a go-slow approach, he began to approach the handlers and seek affection. Bear is social with the other dogs, but he displayed no play style at this time and would likely do best with a calmer dog

He was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. He was given a moment to acclimate to his surroundings. The handler knelt and called to him. He approached the handler with soft body language. He began to lean against the handler and seek affection. He allowed the handler to pet his head with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his teeth with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch and lift his front paws, but he had concerned eyes and licked his lips. When the handler would touch his tail or back paws, he was wary and would sit down. He displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler during the handling, bưt he does need a go-slow approach. With a go-slow approach, he will begin to approach to seek affection. He was retumed to his kennel without issue. Due to his need for a go-slow approach and handling sensitivity of certain areas, he will be designated as adults only required.
