?The behaviors described today reflect the dog?s responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and
unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change
based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.?
Akuma A5731550 was at the front of the kennel when the runner approached his kennel, he got up and greeted the runner
with a neutral demeanor, after a few seconds he slightly tensed up, his eyes were focused, his eyes were alert, and his mouth
was closed. He was easy to remove, and he strongly pulled on leash. He by passed the kennels, when he passed building one,
he began to tense up with the dogs. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was slightly tense, his eyes
were focused, his mouth was closed, his tail was neutral, and his ears were alert. He was muzzled prior to entering the yard.
He entered and attempted to remove the muzzle. He mainly focused on trying to remove the muzzle during his time in the
yard. He tensed up a few times with the dogs when they hovered around him. He was removed to not overwhelm him no
further.

Akuma A5731550 was moved to the side yard to proceed with his handling assessment. He was tense and uncomfortable as
the handler pet him. He allowed her to pet him everywhere but remained uncomfortable the entire time. When the handler
grabbed his legs, he tensed up, and side eyed her. Overall, Akuma was selective of being pet, he will require slow
introductions, confidence building and continued socialization. Due to reported aggression in previous home Akuma will be
rescue only with a KHOA.
