\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen and just needed a slower approach. She entered the play yard with concemed eyes and a low tail. She was approached by a male Rottweiler mix. She tolerated him sniffing her, but she was timid and did not retum the greeting. She was then approached by a female Pitbull and displayed the same timid but tolerant behavior. She stayed near one of the permitter fences for a while and tolerated dogs approaching her and sniffing her, but she did not retum the greetings. After a while, she began to roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to tolerate dogs approaching her and sniffing her, but she did not retum the greetings. She remained calm and tolerant for the rest of her time in the yard, but she appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. She would approach the handlers and seek affection, but she required a go-slow approach. Due to her timid nature and need for a slower approach, she will be designated as adults only required. Due to the behavior displayed in the previous home before being surrendered to the care center, she will require a known history of aggression disclosure fom
