Missy greeted the runner with a loose wiggly demeanor and was easy to leash and remove from the kennel. She was taken to
the catch pen and was easy to collar and leash soliciting petting during the process. Missy initially lunged at the barrier alert
barking at the dogs and was easily steered with a verbal correction. She greeted the dogs again nicely with a relaxed
demeanor and was allowed into the play yard. Missy displayed a neutral body, closed mouth, natural ear set, low tail with a
soft wag, and soft eyes. Missy appeared uncomfortable with the dogs and moved away using the handlers as a shield. Missy
remained with the handler for some time before trying to explore the yard again. She remained wary of the playful dogs but
continued to socialize with the calmer dogs. She was given play bows but did not reciprocate and moved away returning to
the handlers. When around the handlers Missy became loose and wiggly frequently seeking petting/affection. Missy was able
to co-exist in the play yard, preferring to be amongst the handlers and calm dogs displaying no play style. Missy could
benefit from further socialization and confidence building. See additional assessment for placement recommendations.

Missy was in the play yard prior to the assessment and was given time to decompress. Missy displayed a loose wiggly body,
open mouth pant, natural ear set, loose tail wag, natural ear set, and soft eyes. Missy approached the handlers jumping on
them affectionately with a loose wiggly demeanor. Missy allowed the handler to examine her ears, mouth, abdomen, back,
lower extremities, and tail without issue. Missy maintained a loose wiggly demeanor throughout the assessment and
continued to solicit petting afterward. Missy could benefit from continued socialization and confidence building. Missy is ok
for public adoption medium energy level calm dogs recommended.
