Eval Comments:
- \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collard by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by two dogs at the same time. She was tolerant of them both sniffing her, but she was timid with concered eyes.
After the dogs broke away, she began to roam the yard to explore. After a short time, she appeared to grow a little in confidence and began to exchange some timid greetings with the other dogs. She appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. She would become more wary around the higher energy dogs and create space from them. There were dogs playing during her time in the yard and she showed some interest from a distance, but appeared unsure to join in. She would pproach the handlers often and seek affection. Faith is social with the other dogs, but she displayed no play style at this time. She is a young puppy that could benefit from continued socialization with other dogs to build her confidence. If adopted with another dog, she would do best with a calmer respectful dog to help her gain more confidence.
