My name is Monty and I am an unaltered male, gray and white Siberian Husky. Shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old. I have been at the shelter since Nov 24, 2025.
Monty's owner was arrested, so animal control picked him up on November 24 2025 and brought him to City of San Bernardino Animal Services . Monty is a 2 year old very handsome male husky x who weighs about 50.2# as of 12/10/25
On December 10, staff noticed Monty was presenting with symptoms of what is typically referred to as kennel cough (coughing/green nasal discharge) Staff is administering doxy, baytril combo, which is usually pretty effective at treating kennel cough. Monty was vaccinated when he arrived at the shelter, but as a precaution, he was tested for distemper (rapid test) and the results came back negative. Monty is alert and responsive and is eating and drinking but for some reason, the shelter has decided to give him a DEADLINE OF 12/12/25 or they plan to euthanize him.
