Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar suoundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the yard with tense body language. She was approached by a male shepherd. She tolerated him sniffing her, but she was very tense as he did so. She was then approached by a female shepherd and displayed the same behavior. After this, she began to roam the yard and explore She was approached by a male Labrador that lingered in her face, and she gave him a growl waming for space After some time, she appeared to relax a little more and exchanged soft greetings with some of the dogs. She offered a play bowto a male shepherd, and they engaged in very bnef gentle dainty play. She remained selective with dogs in the yard and would become tense, giving growl wamings to some dogs. She would approach the handlers and seek affection. She is selective with other dogs and would do best with a calm dog that would respect her boundanes and default to her.
