Suki is energetic and enthusiastic on leash, showing her playful, excitable personality 🎉. Around other dogs, she can become tense and uncomfortable, so she does best with careful management and limited dog interactions. ?The behaviors described today reflect the dog?s responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and
unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change
based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.?
Suki A5744086 was at the front of the kennel when the runner approached her, her body was wiggly, her eyes were soft, her
tail wagged neutrally, and her mouth was open with a soft pant. She excitedly jumped on the door, she was easy to remove,
and she strongly pulled on leash. She jumped on the runner, and she was mouthy. In the catch pen when she was introduced
to the dogs her body was neutral, she was uninterested, she jumped on the runner, she was mouthy, and she ran all over the
catch pen. She was difficult to collar and leash, she was mouthy, and she moved around a lot. She ran inside the yard and
ignored the dogs. She jumped on the handlers and solicited affection, she scratched their legs. When dogs would go near her,
she would tense up and growl at them. She tensed up anytime the dogs passed by her, sniffed her or greeted her. The handler
had to correct her a few times using the spray bottle. She was removed from the yard shortly after to overwhelm her no
further. Behaviorally ok for public adoption with a KHOA for aggression to animals.
