He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He became extremely barrier reactive toward dogs through the fence, barking growling and lunging to bite. Due to his behavior in the catch pen, he was muzzled as precaution before entering the play yard. He entered the play yard with tense body language. He was approached by a social male shepherd puppy. He immediately had wide eyes and was extremely tense. He tolerated the shepherd sniffing his body, but was extremely tense, with wide eyes and licking his lips. After a few seconds, the male shepherd tumed and walked away. As the male shepherd walked away, Duke charged growing and lunged at him from behind, attempting to bite him. Ahandler used a spray bottle to try to break his focus, and a second handler pulled him away by his leash, before he could make any contact. Due to his unprovoked offensive behavior, he will be designated as no other dogs required

He was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. He was given a moment to acclimate to his surroundings. The handler knelt and called to him. He approached the handler with soft body language and began to seek affection. He allowed the handler to pet his head with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his teeth with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch and lift all his paws with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch his tail with no reaction. He displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler during the handling. He was retumed to his kennel without issue.
