Eval Comments:
"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from howthey behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences."
He growled and barked one time when the runner first approached the kennel gate. Once the runner opened the kennel gate, he was easy to loop leash and walked well to the yard. Once in the catch pen, it was noticed that he was coughing and had green nasal discharge. He was not brought into play group, and a handling assessment was conducted on him, due to him scoring a 3 on medicalintake. The handler knelt and called to him. He approached the handler with soft body language and began seeking affection. He allowed the handler to pet his head with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his teeth with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch and hift all his paws with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch his tal with no reaction. He displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler during the handling. He was retumed to his kennel without issue.
