A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.? Easy to leash but was pushing his way to get out. Moderate pull to the yard. Once at the gate he was tense, lip licking and hackles raised with dogs approaching. Once in the yard, he explored (same behavior when dogs approached) and other dogs would either disengage or not approach him. Responsive to tools and once we went to remove him he became more leash reactive and tense/focus on the dogs. Once behind the gate he was burrying his nose at the crack and growling at the dogs.
