A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences." She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a male shepherd and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She began to roam the yard calmly and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to exchange soft greetings with other dogs that approached her. She remained calm and social for the rest of her time in the yard, but she appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. There were dogs playing during her time in the yard, but she did not engage in or entice any play. She would approach the handlers and seek affection. She is social with the other dogs, but she displayed no play style at this time and would likely do best with a calmer dog
