A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences." She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She dashed into the yard and charged toward a male husky, nipping toward his neck. She stopped when a handler verbally corrected her and it broke her focus. She then approached a male Pitbull and briefly sniffed him. She then became tense and began to neck press him. He took a step away and she thenhad a pursed mouth. The male Pitbull darted away to create space from her. She then charged toward him with an open mouth. A landler nearby that was closely monitoring her behavior, was able to grab her leash, to prevent her making contact with him. She was then removed from the yard at this time. While being removed from the yard, she remained focused on him and trying to pull back toward him. Due to her unprovoked offensive behavior, she will need to be the only dog in the home (apart from being adopted with her mother. who she is kenneled with).
