When you crack the door to leash he will bite/hold the leash. Eventually you can get your leash back. I used a stuffy toy to distract him and he held onto that while I dropped my leash on him. Took some coaxing to walk out. Light pull to the yard. He stuck by me. Able to perform handling "exam" without incident. Placed ID band on him. Used double leash to return to the kennel but he was able to grab/hold my leash.
