Eval Comments: \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with concered eyes and a tucked tail. She was approached by two dogs and tolerated them sniffing her, but she was timid. After the dogs broke away, she approached and sniffed a calm female Pitbull from behind. She began to calmly roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She was more social and comfortable around the calm dogs. She was wary of the higher energy dogs or dogs that lingered near her face. She would either create space from them or give show of teeth wamings for space. She would approach the handlers often and seek affection. She would do best with a very calm dog that will respect her space and boundanes.
