Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
He was wary and required a go-slow approach when being collared by the runner in the catch pen. He was wary of movements and would flinch when being touched. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He bypassed the other dogs and began to calmly roam the yard. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He continued to calmly roam the yard to himself, but he would exchange soft greetings if dogs approached him. He remained calm and social for the rest of his time in the yard. He did not entice or engage in any play during his time in the yard. He was wary of the handlers* movements in the yard. He had wide eyes and created space from wherever they happened to be. Prince is social with the other dogs, but he displayed no play style at this time. Due to reports of attacks on other dogs in the previous home, he will be designated as no other dogs recommended. See handling assessment for further stipulations.

He was taken to the catch pen for the handling assessment after play group. The handler knelt and called to him, but he did not approach. The handler slowly approached him and picked up his leash. He allowed the handler to pet his head, but he had wide eyes. He allowed the handler to check his ears, but he had wide eyes. He then began to stress yawn. When the handler touched his front paws, he would quickly pull them away. When the handler touched his tail or back paws, he would pull them away and tried to spin back toward the handler's hand. He is fearful and needs a very go-slow approach. He was retumed to his kennel without issue. Due to his multiple bite history, attacks on other dogs and his handling sensitivity, he wil be designated as rescue only with waiver and indemnity.
