\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\"
She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She became bamer reactive toward the dogs through the fence, barking and hyper focused on them. The other dogs were moved to an adjacent yard to introduce them one at a time. She entered the play yard on leash, and one female husky was introduced to the yard. This dog became extremely reactive, barking and pulling toward her. She was removed from the yard to place a muzzle and long line on her, to better gauge if she was just leash reactive. She was re-introduced to the yard with the muzzle and on a long line. She immediately approached a calm female husky, charged toward her, and would muzzle punch the side of her neck or body. The handlers had to steer her away. She was then approached by a male shepherd and immediately became very tense with a high tal and hackles raised.
The handlers steered the male away. She was then approached by a female Pitbull and displayed the same tense behavior.
The handlers steered this female away. A different female Fitbull then playfully ran past her. This dog immediately lunged and muzzle punched her side as she ran by. Ahandler grabbed her long leash, before she was able to further pursue her. She was then removed from the yard at this time. Due to her unprovoked offensive behavior displayed, she will be designated as no other dogs required.
