He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with concemed eyes and a tucked tail. He was approached by two dogs and tolerated them both sniffing him, but he was timid. After the dogs broke away, he began to roamthe yard and explore. After a short time, he appeared to relax a lot more around the other dogs and began to exchange soft greetings. He remained calm and social for the rest of his time in the yard, but he appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. There were dogs playing during his time in the yard, but he did not engage in or entice any play. He mostly kept to himself, but he did allow one of the handlers to approach him a couple of times and pet him. He can just be a little head shy at times and does best with a slower approach. Francis is social with the other dogs, but he displayed no play style at this time. He would likely do best with a calmer dog. See handling assessment for further stipulations.

He allowed the handler to check his teeth with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. When the handler ted to touch his front paws, he applied downward pressure to prevent them being lifted. He allowed the handler to touch his tail with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch and lift his back paws without any reaction. He was retumed to his kennel without issue. He displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler, but he is timid and does best with a go-slow approach. Due to this, he would likely do best in an adult only home or with older respectful kids.
