09/03/26 09:13 Patient stayed in clinic for OVH surgery. Patient did not receive surgery yesterday. Patient was NPO all day, fed in the evening wet diamond natural. Patient did not eat over night. Patient is showing lethargy, discomfort, anorexia, ocular discharge and significant diarrhea during overnight stay. Per DVM perform parvo/giardia snap test, and BG Parvo Test: Negative Giardia Test: Negative BG:124

Neuro- normal mentation, no obvious defecits. Abd: palpates soft and non-painful. A: -Green nasal dc- under tx. -Lethargy-r/o- r/o viral disease vs parasitic vs other -Inappetance-r/o Viral disease vs dietary vs failure to thrive vs other P: tx: -Continue IVF therapy, after 3rd day IVC will need to be replaced. -Repeat Ondansetron q12 h--> repeat tomorrow if not eating well. -Repeat cerenia q24h--> repeat tomorrow -entyce dose- given PO- repeat tomorrow. rx: -Doxycycline PO SID x 10 d

09/04/26 16:53-Disconnected fluids for the night, TVI 80.7ml Fluids. Offered CN with churu P seems uninterested.
09/05/26 08:49-S: Recheck exam/progress report. Not eating and is lethargic. No vomiting or diarrhea noted at this time. Parvo test previously negative. O: QAR, lethargic/depressed. EENT: ocular and nasal green mucus dc noted. Oral: wnl. Coat/skin: wnl. H/L: wnl. Abd:palpates soft and non-painful. Neuro: appears weak, stumbling but is able to stand. MS: ambulatory x4 limbs. A: -Lethargy- r/o viral (distemper,parvo) vs parasitic vs congenital vs other -Mucus dc- r/o URI vs distemper vs other -Hypoglycemia- under tx P:dx: BG- LOW did not register. -LRS+ 2.5% dextrose additive, 10 ml/hr -Repeat cerenia inj+ ondansetron inj -Recc rescue email. -If pt continues to not eat and declines/ not improving with tx consider QOL-humane euthanasia.
09/05/26 11:29 no eating, drinking, and bm. did urinate. still having nasal d/c. sounds congested. appears weak. appears QAR, does stand up and interact. performed BG, was too low to read. made 2.5% dextrose w/ LRS fluid bag, giving 10ml/hr per dvm. repeated cerenia (0.24ml IV), ondasetron (0.6ml IV slow), and entyce (0.24ml po) per DVM. attempted to feed pet CN food, doesn't seem interested. under humidifier therapy. will continue to monitor.

09/05/26 17:27 Admin. 2cc Nutrical PO and syringe fed 10 cc of wet food gruel mixed with Nutrical. BG recheck: 84mg/dL. IVC will need to be replaced tomorrow morning.

09/06/26 08:40 Patient is QAR, lethargic. T: 95.4F. Removed IVC from RCV; replaced with 24G IVC on LCV. BG: 40mg/dL. Administered 0.5ml 50% Dextrose mixed with 2.5ml LRS IV slowly as a bolus. Restarted IVF: LRS +2.5% Dextrose @ 10ml/hr. Administered Cefazolin 0.7ml IV slowly. NI in eating on own- syringe fed. Coupaged and placed on humidifier. Placed on heat support and will continue to monitor. Plan to recheck BG.
09/06/26 14:55 BG check: 160mg/dL. Remains QAR, lethargic. Continues to be syringe fed. Remains on IVF: LRS + 2.5% Dextrose @10 ml/hr. Will take chest radiographs when time permits.
09/06/26 16:35 D/C IVF overnight. IVC was flushed and remains patent. TVI 80cc. Admin. Cerenia 0.24ml IV, Ondansentron 0.6ml IV, and Cefazolin 0.7ml IV slowly. Remains on heat support.
09/07/26 08:19 QAR in kennel, did not eat from overnight, pulse: 96, resp: 24, pale pink MM. Placed on 10ml/hr IVF.
