I am a real german shepherd- I am a little shy- but will learn to love you if you are kind to me----I'm beautiful and sweet- smart, too. I get along with other dogs and I am gentle with people. We are a very small shelter in the California Central Valley with a staff of 2 and 1 volunteer to handle all of the responses to this web site. We are an hour from an airport and have no resources for shipping dogs. If you are out of the area, please help us find a realistic way to get the dog you select to you. The best scenario is that you come here and make the arrangements.MOST of the dogs posted were strays that have never been claimed. We have posted what we know about them.If you are unable to adopt, but would like to help we have created a donation fund to help with the costs of transporting dogs to safe havens. Transport costs can range from just gas money, up to $400 including crates, vet certification and airfare. We are willing to do our part- but the financing is critical. To make a tax deductible donation, please mail your checks to:Love of Animals282 PalmLindsay,Ca 93247(please note Foothill Dogs in Danger in the memo line)If you prefer we can accept either Visa or MC donations; please contact BJ at cvrr@verizon.net to make a credit card donation. You can visit our website at www.loveofanimals.org THANK YOU
