About betty: Betty was euthanized for parvo.
Three-year-old Betty can be quite timid upon first meeting her. However, once she has warmed up to you, she is an outstanding girl. She is very playful, yet gentle. She has been getting lots of attention from the volunteers to get her out of her shyness. Betty is very attentive and responds extremely well to verbal commands. She is learning to walk on the leash and will need continued training. Betty is very well behaved, and seems to just be a great dog. Once she is comfortable, she loves to get and give affection. Betty appears to like other dogs, and has shown a friendly curiosity towards cats. She weighs about 45-50 pounds. Come meet this friendly girl in the main adoption building.

Dogs are "pack animals" and need to be inside the house daily with their humans. Most behavior problems such as barking, digging, chewing and hyper behavior are caused by leaving a dog in a backyard day and night.
