A5053200 Bella is an overwhelmed 2-year-old black-and-tan spayed female German Shepherd whose former owner left her at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on February 25th for no known reason. Weighing 65 lbs, Bella approaches new people warily, and is nervous of being touched or handled in the shelter environment. Because she has snapped at some of the people who have interacted with her (but not with all of them), she has been designated as available to LA DACC Adoption Partners only (cannot be adopted by a private party, only a partnered rescue organization). When she was taken out to interact with other dogs in the play area, she was timid, but allowed them to sniff her and remained calm and quiet in the play area. We would very much like to see Bella be properly evaluated outside of the shelter and given any rehabilitative work she may need, and hope a compassionate rescue will step up for her and give her a second chance.
