About hugh: A5297497 Hugh is a playful 2-year-old toffee and white male German Shepherd and Boxer Mix who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 3rd after being found as a stray. Weighing 62 lbs, Hugh is a good looking and good natured dog. He already knows sit and seems eager to please so he?s likely to quickly learn whatever more he needs to know to be a good housemate. Sweet Hugh deserves some spoiling, and our volunteers think he needs to gain a few pounds to look and feel his best. With medium energy, Hugh will need a daily walk or two like any dog to be healthy and happy, and with more practice on leash he will be a good companion. This smart fellow is so attentive to his handler, he might be a good candidate for advanced training or like to have a job to do. Though he likes female dogs, he?s selective about males so shouldn?t go to a home with other boys. We think Hugh will be a great family dog in any home where he gets exercise, attention, and positive reinforcement.
