She became warywith concerned eyes as the gate was opened and the runner presented the loop leash. She was wary of the leash but began to relax with light coaxing, allowing it to be placed over her head. Once on, Beatrice relaxed, walking well next to the runner on the way to the catch pen. She exchanged good greetings with several dogs through the play yard fence. She had soft eyes and an open mouth pant as the runner easily clasped the collar around her neck. She entered the yard and was initially tense as a few dogs came up to greet her. She exchanged brief greetings with each and then spent a few minutes calmly roaming the yard. She did not seek out any other dogs but remained tolerant of all who came up to greet her. She began to relax as time passed, exchanging good greetings with the other dogs. She was wary of loud noises and quick movements and would flinch if startled She started shadowing a handler, seeking affection and lightly jumping on his side with soft eyes and an open mouth pant. She continued roaming, exchanging good greetings with other calm dogs. She kept her distance from energetic or playful dogs but remained tolerant of them. She did not display any play style while in the yard. She needs confidence building and continued socialization. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, CALM DOGS (REC), MEDIUM ENERGY
