A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences. She walked with a low body and needed to be coaxed while on leash walking to the catch pen. She sought affection from the runner as he easily clasped the collar around her neck. She entered the play yard timidly, with a low body and tucked tail. She was approached by a male boxer mix and exchanged timid greetings with him. She ran off to sit on a bench away from the other dogs. Any dogs that approached her, she would exchange timid greetings with. She would approach the handlers by jumping up on them to solicit affection. She began to relax as she roamed the yard and explored. She started to exchange softer greetings and was tolerant of dogs coming up to sniff her. A male rottweiler mix tried enticing her to play by jumping on her. She gave him an appropriate correction of snapping at him and walked away. She remained social the rest of her time in the yard. Issa is social with other dogs and has no play style at this time. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, CALM DOGS (REC), MEDIUM ENERGY
