The behaviors described today reflect the dog?s responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out?or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences. He walked with a light pull in all directions on the leash to the catch pen. The runner easily clasped the collar around his neck. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by a female shepherd mix and exchanged soft greetings. He was then approached by a rottweiler mix and exchanged soft greetings with him. He sought out the handlers to solicit affection. He became sexually motivated and tried mounting multiple dogs in the yard. He mounted a male rottweiler mix. The rottweiler corrected him and he reacted back. The handlers separated them, and he was taken out of the yard. We will reassess him after he is neuter. He was returned to his kennel without any issues. He is social with other dogs and has no play style at this time. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, CALM DOGS (REC), MEDIUM ENERGY
