Eval Comments:
\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He walked to the play yard behind the runner and required verbal coaxing along the way. He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen, but he was tense. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by a male Doberman. He tolerated him sniffing him, but he was tense and gave side eye. He was then approached by a female Corso and displayed the same tense behavior. He began to roam the yard to explore and kept to himself. He would tolerate dogs approaching him sniffing him, but he remained tense each time. He would do best with a very calm dog that would respect his space and boundaries.
