Eval Comments: The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A
dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on suoundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences. She walked to the play yard with a moderate pull on the leash. She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. She entered the play yard with soft body language.
She approached a male Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She then approached a female shepherd and exchanged a soft greeting with her. She began to roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her She began to playfully bound around the yard and continued to exchange soft greetings with other dogs. She remained social for the rest of her time in the yard and engaged in some bnef gentle dainty play with a male Pitbull. She would approach the handlers and seek affection. Minga is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle/dainty play style.
