\"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dogs behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar suroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" She walked to the play yard with no pull on the leash. She was extremely wary being collared by the runner. She would initially approach softly, but any attempt to pet or place the collar near her, she would yelp and try to bite. The runner had to quick rope muzzle her in order to get the collar fastened on her. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by a male Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with him. She was then approached by a female Pitbull and exchanged a soft greeting with her. She began to roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She was social when dogs approached her and greeted them softly. She began giving air snap corrections to dogs that tried to entice her in play with playful contact. After as short time, she began to relax more around the playful dogs. She began to offer play bows and engaged in gentle dainty play with a few different dogs. She remained playful and social for the rest of her time in the yard. She is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle dainty play style. She may just need a little time to warm up with new playful dogs. See handling assessment for rescue only stipulation.

She will initially approach softly and seek attention. But any type of handing, especially movements toward her head or neck, she snaps and thes to bite. Due to her handling sensitivity, she will be designated as rescue only.
