Eval Comments:
- \"The behaviors described today reflect the dog's responses in an Animal Care Center environment and during assessment. A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He walked to the play yard with no pull on the leash. He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He became banier reactive toward the other dogs through the fence, growling and barking at them. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by a male Labrador mix and exchanged a soft greeting with him. He remained tolerant of the male Labrador mix playfully putting paw: on his back and offered no corrections. He offered him a play bow and they engaged in gentle dainty play. He was approached by a female husky and engaged in play with her too. After their play, he began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He remained social with all the dogs for the rest of his time in the yard. He would approach the handlers and seek affection. Leo is social with the other dogs and prefer a gentle/dainty play style. He is banier reactive when behind a fence, but social once inside.
