He was wary of the leash, retreating to the outside section of the kennel. When the runner approached him from the outside, Ben had soft eyes and a loose body, allowing the leash to be placed over his head without issue. He periodically pulled lightly on leash while walking to the catch pen. He was wary of the collar, requiring the runner to spend several minutes trust building and coaxing him before placing it around his neck. He entered the play yard and spent several minutes roaming the perimeter of the yard. He showed no interest in the other dogs. He came up to the handlers to sniff their hand in passing but did not linger near them. He was tense as a calm male gampr came up to him, tolerating a bnef exchange. He did not interact with any other dogs while in the yard. He did approach the handlers a gain briefly for affection but then resumed exploring by himself. He needs continued socialization. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, ADULTS (REQ), CALM DOGS (REC), LOW ENERGY

He came up to the handlers, allowing his head and back to be rubbed. He was relaxed as the handler looked into one of his ears. Due to an issue with his other ear, he was not comfortable being touched there. He tumed his head away, not comfortable with the handler's hand near his mouth. He did not react to his tail being held. He was relaxed with his front paw being held. He was not comfortable with his rear paw being held, sitting down with concemed eyes and tuming his head towards the handler with a closed mouth. He was taken back to his kennel without issue. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, ADULTS (REQ), CALM DOGS (REC), LOW ENERGY
